Two Panamanian corporations made the Office of Foreign Control Asset’s list of companies or people linked to drug trafficking, released yesterday by the United States Treasury Department.

The Panama-based asset holding companies Roseville Investments and Tremaine Corporation were designated for providing material support to the network led by Colombian drug lord Pedro Antonio Bermudez Suaza, aka El Arquitecto. Bermudez Suaza was arrested by Mexican authorities in late 2008 and extradited to the U.S. in June of this year to face drug trafficking charges.

Nine individuals and 13 entities located in Colombia, Mexico and Panama are listed as Specially Designated Narcotics Traffickers.  The Treasury Department prohibits any U.S. person or entity from conducting financial or commercial transactions with these individuals and entities, freezing any assets the designees have under U.S. jurisdiction.
