A U.S. company denounced the National Environmental Authority (ANAM) on Monday for allegedly requesting $100,000 to approve an environmental impact study for an all inclusive residential community on Lake Gatun. Noriega Sentenced to Seven Years

Today, the French court sentenced Manuel Noriega to seven years in prison for laundering millions of dollars in drug money. The three-judge panel also ordered the seizure of $2.89 million that has been frozen in Noriega’s accounts and demanded that he pay $1.3 million in damages to Panama and $2.9 million in customs fines....
