Right Foot Washes Up Behind Union Club

A cleaning crew  found the remains of a right foot in the beach area behind the Punta Paitilla Union Club.

Police and Judicial Investigation teams are investigating, Telemetro reports.

The Union Club was founded in May 1909 as a ritzy social club at No. 20 Avenue Eloy Alfaro with Eduardo Icaza as the head of the Board of Directors.  It then moved to 1st street in Casco Viejo and then to its Punta Paitilla location where the foot washed up.

Jose Luis Ford, Rolando De Leon De Alba, Mauricio De La Guardia, Juan Carlos Fabrega, Rodrigo Ramirez G., Domingo Latorraca M., Raul Vallarino Arango currently sit on the Union Club’s  Board of Directors.

UPDATE:  The foot is eight inches long and apparently belonged to a man, according to Humberto Mas, Director of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
