The extension of the four-lane coastal road into Casco Viejo is now open, complete with green areas and a walking path.

Finishing this second phase of the project – delivery date planned for April 2011 – means there is more to come including 267 underground parking spaces, a plaza and a multi-purpose dock.

Traffic on Eloy Alfaro Avenue, the street that used to lead into the Casco Viejo passed the woodworking shops and brothel bars, will now run in the opposite direction to facilitate traffic out of Casco Viejo.
