Peruvian Soccer Players who Partied in Panama Risk Penalties
After the Peruvian soccer team’s loss to Panama last week, some of the Peruvian players snuck out of their El Panama hotel rooms to hit up the Panama nightlife.
Their coach, Sergio Markarian, says those players who were seen at the Veneto Casino in the early morning hours, thus failing to demonstrate an appropriate level of dedication to the national team, will be left off the squad.
Back in 2008, Claudio Pizarro, Jefferson Farfan, Santiago Acasiete and Andres Mendoza partied before a World Cup qualifying game against Ecuador and were suspended.
