Boxing promoter Don King came into town to watch his protégé, Panamanian Guillermo “The Feline” Jones, retain his World Boxing Association cruiserweight crown against Russian Valery Brudov at Panama City’s Roberto Duran Saturday night.

The Feline technically knocked out the Russian boxer, who also has a promotional contract with King, in the 11th round.  Brudov began to bleed heavily by the ninth round, and in the 11th round, the referee stopped the fight long enough for doctors to check on Brudov.  He was forced to call the fight 2:16 minutes later.

The Feline dedicated his victory to his manager Don King, his trainer, his family and his fans.
