Cocaine Confiscated from Yuca Trucks in Darien

Around 100 kilos of cocaine were confiscated and 11 people detained in a national and border police operative on Thursday in the Darien province.

The drugs were hidden below three trucks loaded with yuca, a popular tropical vegetable also known as cassava.

Authorities also confiscated money and two other cars, in addition to the yuca trucks.  Among those arrested was a 15 year-old.
