Two young men were shot and killed in the Calle Uruguay People nightclub Saturday night.

Edwin Alberto Griffin, age 25, shot 13 times, died instantly.  The other victim, unknown to Griffin, 18-year-old Juan Manuel Navarro was shot once in the back and died on the way to Santo Tomas hospital.  Authorities believe Griffin was the primary target of a revenge shooting and Navarro, an innocent bystander.

After causing mass hysteria in the discoteque, the shooter walked out, got into a black pick-up truck that was parked nearby and rode away.

Investigators found 20 shells at the scene and are reviewing video surveillance footage.

This would have been real news had the bystander victim been a foreigner. Now it’s just local colateral damage. Sad but not shocking. Like people getting run over by cars, busses, etc.

The value of a life in Panama is not as much as it should be.
