Martinelli Back from New York

President Martinelli started the work week in Panama after spending five days in New York City last week.

According to a Panamana government release, United States President Barack Obama told Martinelli that he would push for the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement with Panama after the November elections.

On Friday, Martinelli also met with representative of the World Economic Forum who said they would have their meeting with Latin American countries in Panama in 2014.

And, the Panamanian President took advantage of his time in New York City to meet with executives of AES, the company building Panama’s major hydroelectric projects, as well as with representatives of the Jewish community about their participation in Panama.
