Another U.S. Fugitive Pedophile Caught in Boquete

Authorities arrested their second U.S. fugitive pedophile in Boquete this month.

His name is Fairly Earls and in 1999, he was convicted and sentenced to 45 years in jail for sex crimes against minors.  After six years in prison, he won an appeal for a new trial and was released on $25,000 bail.  Within a few months, he had skipped town and remained free until an America’s Most Wanted tipster recognized him in Boquete and contacted Wisconsin authorities.

After his arrest, he was quickly accompanied by federal authorities back to the United States.  Earls turns 57 on Monday and used the name David Fuhrman while in Panama.

In somewhat related news, AARP just named Boquete one of the top ten places to retire abroad, where “expats settle amid rain forests, coffee plantations, burbling streams, and hummingbirds hovering over dazzling flowers.”

Rainbows and Pedophiles! Yikes, Panama is starting to get a bad reputation for having psychos…watch out! Kidding, 99% of the people here are awesome. There’s occasionally someone I meet that feels a little off. I just steer clear!
