Panama Canal Triathlon Seeking Competitors

Panama’s Triathlon Union and Tourism Authority are calling all participants for the Panama Canal Triathlon. Planned for August 29, the competition would kickoff at 6: 30 a.m. from Veracruz beach and include a 1,900-meter swim, a 60-mile cycle and a 13-mile run. U.S. Fugitive Sent Back Stateside

Yet another fugitive from the United States justice system was apprehended in Panama this week. Norreys Whalen, age 53, was arrested Wednesday in his Plaza Balboa apartment in the Marbella neighborhood and deported Thursday.  He is wanted for 12 counts of financial fraud in Pennsylvania and is now in the hands of the U.S....
