Nicolas Cage is Coming

Actor Nicolas Cage will be in Panama next week as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations.

The actor will visit the United Nations Regional Office on Drugs and Crime, the Center of Excellence and the Global Container Control Program, as well as reportedly stopping by for a photo with Vice President and Minister of Foreign Relations Juan Carlos Varela.

Cage won an Oscar for his portrayal of alcoholic Ben Sanderson in Leaving Los Vegas and has starred in other blockbusters including National Treasure (1, 2 and 3) and Ghost Rider.  In Lord of War, he played arms dealer Yuri Orlov.  He was appointed Goodwill Ambassador in 2009 and won the U.N. Correspondents Association’s Global Citizen of the Year award for humanitarian endeavors.
