An 11-year-old was shot in both legs on Thursday when trigger happy gunmen arrived to a San Miguelito soccer field and began shooting wild-west style, according to a source tied to the investigation.  The minor is recuperating in The Chidren’s Hospital, La Critica reports.

In related news, authorities found a minor murdered in Pacora on May 8.  The facial reconstruction released by the Institute of Legal Medicine and prosecutors determined that the boy was between 12 and 15 years old, thin and 4.5 feet tall with brown eyes, light swarthy skin and straight yellow-streaked black hair.

The killers shot the victim approximately five times and left a message in his mouth with the phrase:  Baghdad seen, Baghdad dead.  A gang by the name of Baghdad operates on 25th street in El Chorrillo, and concerns that Panama’s gang violence is out of control are increasing.
