In 30 days, there will be new security measures for motorcycles in Panama.

The law, published yesterday as Gaceta Official number 26534, applies to motorized two- to three-wheel vehicles of up to 600 cc and establishes that drivers must wear reflective jackets and a helmet with their respective license plate numbers, as well as use signals and keep front and back lights on at all time.

Drivers are prohibited from carrying passengers or objects because these could obstruct the visibility of the aforementioned security measures, the law details.

The National Police, Institutional Protection Service and Transportation and Transit Service Authority will identify themselves by their own security rules.
