Starting tomorrow, the price of snapper will increase from $2 to $3 a pound because of the shortage resulting from the effects of climate change.

Santiago Escartin, President of the Association of Fish Sellers of the Fish Market, said that the rest of the seafood is quite accessible:   Bar Jack at $1.75, Sierra between $1.50 and $1.60, and Jack Mackerel between $3 and $4.

Compared to last year, sales for the past week have been down between 30 and 40 percent, La Critica reports.

In somewhat related news, not long ago, the Fish Market made the news for smelling like death.
