The 2010 Carnival celebrations have come to an end along with the tallying of statistics over the four days.

Carnival produced $3,102 fines including 494 for speeding and 266 for drinking under the influence. There were 360 transit accidents resulting in 144 injuries and eight to nine deaths.  Twenty-eight people died at the hands of violent crimes during the celebrations, whether homicides, accidents or drownings.

Municipal Urban and Household Sanitation collected 5,400 tons of garbage in the District of Panama and 102 tons along the Via Espana Carnival route.  The streets will be washed with chemicals to eliminate the foul party smells, La Critica Reports.
